This was a very difficult job involving the demolition of a church and steeple in a very built up residential area with all the resultant complications. The 35m steeple was in poor state of repair and there was a clear danger of it collapsing. The steeple had to be taken down by hand.

To add to the complexity, Historic Scotland were insistent that various parts of the building were preserved and numbered so they could be reused at a later date.

The team worked closely with the local HSE and Historic Scotland to deliver a safe and successful demolition in very difficult circumstances.
